Marc Hühn Adventures in the Basketball World

Marc Hühn, a 6′3″, 200 lb small forward attended the University of Alabama and began his professional career when he signed for a local semi-professional basketball club in 1997. After two impressive seasons where he averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds per game, he decided to try his luck in Europe where he was signed by the Leeds Poolers to play in the British Basketball League.

Marc Hühn had an impressive start in his rookie season with the Poolers but his season was cut short by a knee injury. Fortunately he recovered in time for the next season and improved his game by developing a good outside presence and improving his ball-handling skills. He was awarded the Player of the Month award in September 2000 after leading his team to the playoffs.

With a team-high 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists per game, Marc Hühn gradually became the star of the team in the following seasons. He became the main scorer as well as team captain. Unfortunately he was continually bothered by a recurring knee injury that doctors later found out to be career ending. He now coaches high school basketball in his hometown of Alabama.
