Tom Bonnell Loves Teaching

There is nothing Tom Bonnell loves more than teaching and educating young minds. Nothing gives him more satisfaction and happiness than knowing that Mr Bonnell is helping children and young adults learn and grow to become fully prepared for the responsibilities of adulthood and to become fully functional members of society.

Tom Bonnell has amassed nearly thirty years of experience in academic and educational institutions. Tom got his start in 1981 when he applied and was accepted at a teaching position at St. Thomas High School where Mr Bonnell taught Latin and Greek. His love for teaching stemmed naturally from his love for learning which was evident in his exceptional performance as a young student.

At Duke University, Tom Bonnell took up a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin and Greek and was frequently on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll. Tom would later graduate Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 1979. After almost two years of working as a legal assistant at a law firm in Houston, Mr Bonnell would eventually pursue his love for academics and teaching at St. Thomas High School. Tom Bonnell would then go on to higher positions in various educational institutions and eventually become the Head of School at Savannah Country Day School.
